How to Reduce Exam Anxiety?:

Exam anxiety is common among students. To reduce it you need to:

Before Exam

· Prepare as much and as well as you can

· Motivate yourself by:

o Keeping a positive outlook on your exam.

o Studying with other hardworking and diligent people .

· Plan your studying time.

· Wake up on the day of the test with enough time to get ready and eat in the morning.

During Exam

· Think positively when you enter the testing room. Negative thoughts usually lead to more anxiety.

· Scan all the questions first before you begin the test.

· Start with the questions you feel you are most comfortable with.

· Stop for a second if you come across a difficult question

o take some deep breaths

o review the question

o answer as much of it as you can

o move on if you still can’t get it right.

After the Exam

· Don't dwell on missed questions or wrong answers after the exam.

· Concentrate your thoughts instead on the next test.

  • Take a break between the 2 exams.
  • Review questions when you get results. Reviewing will help for the future examinations.
